What is the prognosis for metastatic liver cancer in the elderly? - bladder cancer prognosis more condition_symptoms
My father had recently with liver cancer that is diagnosed 88. He has multiple lesions in the liver. It is the secondary site - it was an attack on a bladder cancer (we thought) was successfully managed. He was in good shape, healthy and very active throughout his life. It is not the typical frail man in his 80 years of age. It is difficult to someone who was against the run, see energetic and dynamic. They have ultrasound and computed tomography and puncture is as follows. We are of the oncologist, the treatment options are limited or that "there can be a good candidate for chemotherapy, probably because of his age and I suppose to say that B / C to be in advanced stages of cancer May. Has anyone had similar experiences? A stay in internal medicine, seeing it for the first time, said "3 months" is not an oncologist but do not know how much weight placed on this point. I have heard of liver cancer has a poor prognosis and is very fast / aggressive. I would be interested in meeting someone with similar experiences. Thank you.
